Baked Alaska

Those of you who are not aware, I have set up a Facebook page for my little cake business called "Baked Alaska". You can find it at:

If you don't have a Facebook account, I think you may still be able to get to the photo pages by clicking here: (I could be wrong about this!)

Alicia Report

Alicia has been a busy girl lately.

Last weekend she had her hip hop/jazz dance recital in the auditorium at Sissy's high school. She did a great job with her dances.

Towards the end, she and her little friend, Phoebe, started getting a little goofy. But the finale was complete, so that was okay.

A few days later, Alicia's preschool (Klever Kids) held their preschool graduation. Alicia received her preschool diploma and was declared "ready for kindergarten".

She and I had made some graduation cap cupcakes to share with her friends and fellow graduates.

Here is a photo of Alicia and her favorite friend, Jack.

Tess Report

Tess will be graduating from Chugiak High School as an Honor Graduate on Wednesday, May 12, 2010.

Those of you unable to attend are welcome to catch the ceremony on the webcam at: http://att.pscdn.net/003/02451/2010Graduations/

The ceremony will be held at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage at 2pm, Alaska Time, which is 4 hours behind the East Coast.

In other Tess news, she was accepted at four different universities and has chosen to attend Muskingum University in New Concord, OH in the fall. We will be traveling to MU on June 8th to attend the Muskie Preview, a new student orientation.

Tess received the Presidential Scholarship from Muskingum University in the amount of $12,000 annually. In addition, she was presented last night with the Enid Lesh Scholarship in the amount of $1000 for her academic merit and community service here in Alaska.

Congratulations to our sweet Tess for all her recent accomplishments! And we know we can expect lots of great things from her in her coming college years and beyond...
