Happy New Year 2008!
We did end up going to the waterpark the other day (Sunday), after Tess was done snowboarding.
Just Alicia, Tess, Robyn, and I were there. Donald was working and Stephen was feeling under the weather.
Tess and Robyn went down the MasterBlaster a few times and spent most of the rest of their time in the hot tub, soaking their weary bones.
The crowd was small, which was very nice. We stayed about 2 hours and then dried off and headed for home.
Alicia May received two of her favorite fun things for Christmas this year: Play-doh and finger paints!
We played with the Play-doh on New Year's Eve. And we used the finger paints this morning as our first activity of the New Year! We're off to a great start!
Later this afternoon, I succeeded in converting the "dining room" into a scrapbook area! I finished a few pages today. I had a giant stack of photos printed to represent our "year in photos" from 2007. We were busy! Now I'm far behind on the scrapbooking process...
Stephen spent New Year's Day replacing the hinges on my passenger side door of the van. When we went to Chena, Stephen attempted to get out and check the luggage topper which was getting rocked by the gusting wind. The wind ripped the door out of his grasp and bent the hinges, it was so strong! The guy at the dealership didn't seem surprised to hear this story. He must hear it a lot.
Anyway... our New Year is off to a pleasant start. The days are getting infinitesimally longer every day. Soon we'll be basking again in 20 hours of daylight each day... Ahh, blissful hope!
