Update!
Lots going on...
I've started a new job with an energy company in midtown Anchorage. It's good to have a steady income again. And diving back into GIS has been like donning a long lost pair of comfortable shoes.
My sudden return to the workplace meant we had to find summer camps for Alicia when most had been filled for months. We did manage to get off the waiting list for several fun ones though. This week she's on the campus of Alaska Pacific University at the Si La Meo day camp. They swim each day. There was a petting zoo and ponies yesterday. And they're supposed to do some canoeing and archery as well. Good times!
I noticed a few yellowing leaves on the trees during my commute. That, combined with the fully-bloomed fireweed, is a sure sign that summer's end draws near. It's flown by. We really need to start prepping for winter.... Firewood. Must get firewood.
We still have a few things we'd hoped to accomplish this summer. One of which is the completion of Alicia's playhouse which has been in the works for at least two years. We do have most of the materials. So, if we can get a rain-free weekend soon, we may be able to tick that one off the list.
Then again, if we get a rain-free weekend, we may just go canoeing instead... :o)

Cool beans on the new job, hope it's going along smoothly!
Thanks for the update. Sounds like things are going great.
