Birthday Eve!
Tess has been playing hard on the court. Here she is doing a little defense.
She was accepted by the Rose Urban Rural Exchange program to travel to the village of Akiak at the end of March and live with a family there for a week. The following week, a boy from that village will come and stay with us. He will be a "Rural Ambassador" and Tess will be an "Urban Ambassador". Doesn't that sound really cool?
We are only hours away from someone's 3rd birthday.... I spent all afternoon making this awesome Dora cake. It took 4.5 hours and we all agree, it looks amazing! Alicia loves it, and that's what matters most!
Our snowbanks have been restocked for tomorrow's sledding fun at the birthday party. We've actually been dumped on in the past few days. I think we got close to a foot of new snow. Perfect!
