Alaska State Fair 2011

We went to the Alaska State Fair on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, as usual. We toured the exhibits which included the cake I'd entered.


We also painted a ladybug rock and looked at giant vegetables made possible by the long hours of Alaskan summer daylight.



We petted goats, pigs, and young cattle. We ate caramel apples, cookies, hotdogs, cream puffs, and reindeer sausage dogs. We watched the lumberjack show and enjoyed some carnival rides.


All in all, it was a great day. We're heading back on Wednesday night. Alicia is baking up some tasty cookies to enter in the youth baking contest.
